Educational Technology Technician Jobs

Supporting the management and facilitating access to physical educational technology tools (e.g. chrome books, ipads, laptops, microphones, etc.)

Performing data entry to assist with curriculum mapping using a university syllabus management tool

Monitoring and general upkeep of file structures for assessment and evaluation data and document management

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, Assessment delivery software, web-based survey tools

Knowledge of post-secondary education systems is an asset.

Proven ability to learn and understand various technology systems and/or including experience troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

Proven time management skills in a deliverables focused position.

Experience in the design and development of online course materials for educational use at a postsecondary level.

Proficiency in the use of a learning management system, preferably Brightspace by D2L.

Contributing expertise to the adoption and application of technology in post-secondary education.

5+ years of post-secondary teaching experience

Demonstrated experience using e-portfolios in teaching and learning or supporting the use of e-portfolios in teaching and learning.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Develops program and project management plans (e.g. stakeholder engagement, communications and resources).

Knowledge of current and emerging educational technology.

Desire and ability to continually expand skills and knowledge.

Post-secondary degree or diploma in educational and/or broadcast media production and design.

Develop and deliver educational technology training programs including conducting seminars, training sessions and workshops.

Manages vehicle inventory and re-stocks as necessary.

Stay up-to-date with new technical and practical knowledge in the field of technology.

Excellent organizational skills and good problem-solving skills.

Motivated worker with great team spirit and manual skills.

2 to 3 years of experience in TCP/IP networking.

Exceptional applications skills with MS Office.

A College diploma in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

Relevant experience, preferably in an educational environment;

Knowledge in the set-up, configuration, installation, and first-tier troubleshooting of operating systems, applications, educational technologies, computer hardware and peripherals, and networking;

Strong technical skills and experience with audio-visual equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems;

Perform analysis, diagnosis, documentation, and resolution of complex IT systems problems for clients (Faculty/Staff) in the Faculty of Education (FOE);

Configure and control inventory of educational technology equipment;
