Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Registered Nurse in the long-term care sector

Providing leadership, coaching and support to the nursing staff

Achieving Resident Satisfaction and Employee Engagement targets

Meeting or surpassing all quality indicators for residents in accordance with company and Ministry guidelines

Administrative skills and knowledge of MS Office suite

Providing education and training for all staff.

Responsibilities in the Assisted Living facility:

Ensuring residents’ individual care plans are being followed.

Reviewing, up-dating, developing, and enforcing all company policies, procedures and documentation.

Ensuring the facility operates in compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations.

Ensure proper and accurate inventory management

Deliver an exceptional customer service experience for all visitors and residents

2 years Customer Service Experience preferred

Post-Secondary Education in related field

Computer experience is required with web-based programs preferred

Excellent listening and telephone etiquette skills

Maintains current awareness of developments and changes relating to the nursing and personal care requirements of residents

Proven Management and/or relationship management experience at a senior, strategic level role.

Strategically lead and develop an operational management team to enhance performance by setting clear accountable performance measures

Able to interpret Management Information (Analyst metrics, Department dashboard) and Business Information (customers, tickets) and develop strategy and make recommendations.

Accountable for ensuring full regulatory compliance and legal requirements - identification of any potential risk issues

Influential relationships skills at all levels. Able to use these relationships to deliver service improvements

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Complete Assessment requirements for Falls Prevention Program, medication administration, heat risk and behavioral management

Conduct health education to staff and residents

Medication Administration Skills using EMar system

Knowledge of Point Click Care is an asset

Experience in Retirement Home setting is an asset

Knowledgeable of the RHA and The RHRA Legislation's

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Resident’s restorative care needs, assessment skills and medication protocols

Direct all staff in the event of an emergency or infectious outbreak when he/she is the most senior management on site
