Computer software skills in Outlook, Teams, Word, and Google Docs (removed excel)

Knowledge of database and learning management systems desirable

Exceptional time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills

Assists with the preparation and management of course grades files and other related materials

Performs chemical education research and investigates new techniques for carrying out chemistry laboratory experiments

Enforces institutional laboratory safety and PPE policies to ensure students and GTAs adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements

At least 2 years work experience in a laboratory or academic setting

Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.

Recent Venipuncture experience, within the past 5 years, in an employment or student practical setting is an asset.

Recent ECG experience, within the past 2 years, in an employment or student practical setting is required.

Properly and efficiently perform phlebotomy, ECG’s, and specimen processing

Handles, stores, transports and disposes of biological and other hazardous materials according to guidelines; records information as required

Verifies and enters patient and specimen information into the Laboratory Information System and/or log sheets
