Training and experience in multiple industry technologies, including but not limited to: Tableau, Sharepoint , Clarity, and Azure DevOps.

Currently enrolled in an accredited university co-op program

Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of tools ( i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

Desire to problem solve and work with others to map out processes to pinpoint improvements

Develop technical skills in areas such as: compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax

Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, manage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory counts

Completion of, or working towards, a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred)

Completion of, or working towards, prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon commencement of employment

Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset

Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset

Participate and support the Natural Resources group in the active management of the group's current portfolio of investments

Knowledge and interest in the forestry and agriculture sector is an asset

Support members of the investment team in the analysis of potential private equity transactions in the Natural Resources group portfolio

Participate and support investment team members in the due diligence process

Experience in financial modeling/excel an asset

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively (written and oral)

Conduct preliminary analysis of investment opportunities and assess investment thesis including key merits and risks

Assess target companies’ historical and projected financial information, strategic positioning and value proposition, industry dynamics, regulatory environment and other pertinent factors

Prepare, support and recommend equity valuation for target companies:

Build detailed financial models for DCF valuation, determine and substantiate key valuation assumptions, conduct sensitivity analyses on main value drivers

Support in maintaining access management models for business tools and solutions

Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office programs such as Excel and PowerPoint

Effective communications skills, both written and spoken (French and English)

Assist in implementing, documenting, and executing access and information retention controls

Support in documenting departmental processes and procedures

Help the team in establishing and documenting business processes guidelines and internal procedures

Establishes and oversees the Dynamic Asset Allocation, and Total Fund Currency Management (including Dynamic Currency Management)

Provide technical assistance in improving the design and execution of the Dynamic Asset Allocation, Total Fund Currency Management, and rebalancing activities

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics or a related field

Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and programming software applications (Python, Eviews, Matlab, R, etc.), required

Knowledge of market data collection systems (Bloomberg, Datastream, etc.), an asset

Leads the rebalancing activities (assets and currencies) of the Total Fund to ensure exposures are aligned with desired Total Fund targets

Ability to easily adapt and prioritize, demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities

Participate and support the analysts and other Real Estate Investment team members in active management of PSP Investments’ real estate portfolio

High proficiency in Excel and financial modelling; Knowledge of ARGUS software is an asset

Interest for real estate investments and knowledge of real estate market information sources is an asset

Participate and support the analysts and other members of the team during the due diligence process

Provide assistance to the analysts with collecting information and updating the real estate Investment team’s database

Knowledge of financial Instruments and risk management methodologies 

Currently enrolled in a master’s degree of Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Financial Engineering

Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and PowerBI, an asset

Evaluate and continually track the market risk of market portfolios by producing and interpreting a suitable risk analysis

Provide quantitative research and analysis expertise to the various business units with regards to risk modelling methods

Participate in implementing risk measurement systems by validating the methodologies to be used and proposing relevant solutions

Prepare taxable benefit calculations related to group insurance plans

Provide support to the Benefits and Wellness team for special projects, as needed

Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and organized

Excellent communicator with effective and professional written and verbal communication skills

Previous work experience in a consulting firm or insurance company, pursuing actuarial exams or experience with group insurance or pension plans

Update tracking dashboards, audit data and prepare year-end reconciliations for group insurance and pension plans

Participate in portfolio management tasks as well as relationships with external investment partners

Business acumen and excellent financial/accounting analytical skills

Effective communications skills, both written and spoken

Assist deal teams on the execution of transactions, including direct investments in companies and external fund commitments

Perform investment due diligence, including industry and company specific research using primary and secondary sources and partner diligence
