Experience needed - 1-2 Years

Controls Engineer (Junior 1-2 years)

Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff (Doesn't have to have all 3)

Locations - Toronto, ON, Canada

Salary rate - $55-65,000 CAD

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automated production engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.

Or combination of a DEC in a relevant field and several years of experience in equivalent functions.

Good knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs such as ControlLogix and GuardLogix

Good knowledge of machine safety and associated standards

Knowledge of GE 90-70 type PLCs

Knowledge of Emerson RX3i type PLCs

•Work within all Dana EHS and Quality requirements

•Participate in developing reliable and efficient processes for new product or new application introductions as required

•Install and set-up various vision system components such as bar code scanners and inspection cameras

•Maintain machine automation back-up files

•Design and construct new electric circuits and electronic device integration

•Maintain and ensure accuracy of electrical drawings and code

PLC’s, HMI, SCADA or other Controls systems experience.

• 1-3 years of experience

• AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred

• Material Handling experience is a plus

• Experience with MS Office products.

• AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.

Complete projects by taking ownership of deliverables and using technical and project management skills

Some Project Management/Managing Contractors experience desired

Skills and abilities to provide technical and administrative guidance for activities in defined scope of responsibilities

Strong leadership, relationship management, and organizational planning and project management skills

Provide electrical assistance including troubleshooting, project engineering and project management

Knowledge of ESA and CSA standards as they pertain to electrical safety and safeguarding of machinery compliance

· Post secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical field or related experience.

·Manage and provide technical support to the project team from award to completion.

· Translate bid/proposal into detailed project plan and documents. Communicate job requirements toproject team.

· 5+ years’ experience in Building Automation Trade, Industrial & Commercial

Monday to Friday 8Am to 5PM

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and commitments.

Proven ability to work unsupervised, with great customer service and time management skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electrician or Certified Engineering Technologist with experience implementing industrial control systems.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment

Experience with Rockwell Factory Talk and Honeywell EBI software

Experience running technical projects within a manufacturing environment

Responsible for the development of control algorithms for motors, generators, chargers or vehicles

Responsible for power electronics simulations;

Support the people involved in the realization of pre-project analysis simulations and the definition of risks related to its implementation;

Be actively involved in the proposal and realization of innovation activities in order to improve our products (Performance, Reliability, Safety, etc.)

Be informed and perform analysis on competitors and similar technologies in order to better define our advantages and points of improvement;

Supervise engineers, technicians, interns/students in activities related to control algorithms (task definition, implementation, testing...);
