Pursuing continuing education and participating in conferences and workshops.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an affinity for working respectfully with colleagues, contractors, and clients.

Good observational skills related to client functioning abilities.

Participates in group activities to stimulate mobility, language, reminiscing, group identity and listening skills of clients.

Collaboration with Program Coordinator, Recreation Therapist, RPN, Supervisor and Manager

Certification with GPA, Montessori an asset

1-2 years of recent experience in Adult Day Services or working with groups of clients is an asset.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Physically carry out the duties of the position.

Operate related equipment, such as a 11-25 passenger, lift equipped van.

Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary and management teams, regarding both resident care and residence operations.

Certificates in management, gerontology and volunteer management is an asset.

Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all legislated requirements.

Hire, train, and manage part-time staff.

2+ years’ experience developing and running recreational programming for seniors, preferably in a retirement home or long-term care setting.

Creative and energetic, with strong organizational skills.

Extensive knowledge of construction site erosion and sediment control measures and best management practices

Detail oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills

Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level and/or ladder.

Monitoring compliance with applicable environmental requirements and commitments, including Environmental Protection Plans and work plan

Recommending best practices and mitigation measures to manage environmental concerns during construction

Minimum of five years of experience as an environmental monitor or inspector in a construction environment

Provide information to community members upon request on Baffinland’s existing shipping mitigation and management measures;

Demonstrated use of computers including data entry and tracking, ease of working with the public, and summarizing information for public.

Experience in using marine VHF marine or local radio preferred

Maintain the minimum core office hours of 8am to 5pm, and up to 24-hour coverage during busy vessel activities;

Observe and document general vessel activity in Pond Inlet (e.g., cruise ships, research vessels, sea lift and fuel freight);

Implement Pond Inlet-based components of Baffinland’s Shipping Communications Protocol, particularly with regards to informing hunters and community members about vessel traffic;

Experience as Bear of Wildlife Monitor;

Provide safety assessments regarding bear and wildlife for workers on the field;

Report any wildlife in the work area;

Keep work space and general areas clean and hazard free;

Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Bachelor's degree in a Business, Legal, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

3-5 years of experience in investigations, including filing SARs, or related audit/regulatory experience at a financial institution or fintech company

1-3 years experience working in Windows-based computer environments

Experience in environmental monitoring for marine and upland construction
