Primary role:
As the Warehouse Manager in our leading retail industry, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of warehouse operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and smooth workflows, maintaining high productivity levels, and meeting distribution demands. Your primary focus will be on detailed planning & scheduling, managing inventory, space management supervising teams, and coordinating various activities while maintain safety standards in all operations.The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent organizational skills, and have a strong track record of effectively managing warehouse operations. Warehouse role is key position on health of safety of the facility and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
-Overall responsibility all warehousing operations including shipping and storing, receiving activities and reconciliation of relevant inventory and operations data on management systems.
-Work closely with business leaders to plan team distribution and required workforce in accordance with desired delivery schedules.
-Clear understanding of warehouse objectives and operations to ensure that best practices are carried out to enable the Warehouse to achieve its goals timely and effectively by staff who have been assigned a specific role and daily tasks.
-Develop processes for warehouse operations regarding products handling, packaging, labeling, palletizing, storage, pallet put-away, pallet retrieval, inventory accuracy and Health & Safety guidelines.
-Develop "Warehouse Design" through floor planning, product workflow, product handling systems, and recommendations for improvements that align with the company's objectives.
-Manage the team. You will assign and take ownership of daily tasks, including inventory, cycle counts, and materials management. You will be responsible for overseeing warehouse staff, including goal setting, reviews, ongoing training, and performance management.
-Quality & quantity the warehouse is responsible for receiving shipments from vendors. This involves verifying the quantity and quality of the received goods, checking for any damages or discrepancies, and ensuring that the items match the corresponding purchase orders.
-Shipping and Logistics: The warehouse is responsible for coordinating the shipping and logistics processes. This includes selecting appropriate carriers, preparing shipping documentation, scheduling pickups or deliveries, and tracking the shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to the retail stores or directly to customers for online orders.
-Maintaining a Safe and Respectful Work Environment: Regardless of an ongoing investigation, it is essential for a warehouse manager to prioritize maintaining a safe and respectful work environment. This includes fostering a culture of compliance with company policies, promoting open communication channels, and promptly addressing any concerns or complaints brought forth by employee.
Qualification
-Proven experience managing high-volume product movements in fast-paced environments.
-Retail industry experience is an added value.
-Knowledge of store fixtures and structural designs is an added value.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and external stakeholders.
-Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing and logistics.
-Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational requirements.
-Ability to lift weights ranging from 20 to 50 lbs.
