Job Description
Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary to permanent Warehouse Associate - Shipper Receiver to work full-time hours for our client in Waterloo/Cambridge, ON.

  • Availability Required: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:


As a warehouse worker, your main duties would include:


  • Put Away: You will be responsible for returning items to their designated locations in the warehouse after they have been used or returned.
  • Able to lift up to 50lb but no repetitive: As a warehouse worker, you will need to be physically fit and able to lift items up to a certain weight. However, repetitive lifting can cause strain on your muscles and joints, so it's important to take breaks and use proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Picking and packaging orders from stock: You may need to locate items in the warehouse based on customer orders, pick the items from the shelves, and package them for shipping.
  • Cleaning work areas: You may need to sweep, mop, or dust different areas of the warehouse to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Using the Raymond Reach Forklift to move products around: As a warehouse worker, you may need to operate different types of material handling equipment, such as a forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck, to move items around the warehouse.
  • Receiving and processing incoming stock and material: This involves receiving goods, verifying the quantity and quality of the items, and processing the items into the inventory system.


Requirements:


  • Minimum 2 years of Warehouse experience: A minimum of two years of warehouse experience is required to ensure that the candidate is familiar with the industry and can handle the job's demands.
  • Valid Reach Forklift License and experience is a MUST: Since the job involves using a forklift, it's important to have a valid reach forklift license and relevant experience to ensure safe and efficient operation of the equipment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills: The candidate should have strong organizational and time management skills to ensure that products are processed and shipped on time, and that the warehouse is kept clean and organized.
  • Team Player: As a warehouse worker, it's important to work well with others and be a team player. The candidate should have good communication skills and be able to collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • 10% Forklift and 90% on manual Labour: Although the job requires operating a forklift, it's important to note that the majority of the work is manual labor, including picking and packaging orders, processing incoming stock, and cleaning the warehouse.
