Videographer/Photographer (Urgently Needed!)

Summary of Position

Wanted urgently for a photo and video shoot on Tuesday July 13th at 11:00am in Oakville.

Reporting to the Director, the Volunteer Videographer/Photographer has overall operational responsibility for taking photographs and producing videos that document in pictures and on film, the work that Re-Imagine Ontario is doing. We will post these photos and videos on our website and social media.

Re-Imagine Ontario (“The Organization” or “RiO”) is a registered charitable organization whose mission is to improve the health, education, and employment of vulnerable people, with particular focus on Black and Indigenous youth, by fostering strong community support networks.

The Role

Time Commitment

Time commitment is dependent on when the photos and videos are required. Currently, the time commitment would be a very small one due to the small size and newness of the organization. Photos and Videos would be done primarily in the Halton/Peel areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Create quality photos and videos from collaborating with teams, planning, editing and adding diverse effects to be used primarily in our fundraising, outreach work, and our volunteer/staff recruitment campaigns.

• Determine most suitable locations and visual props to ensure content aligns with the brand of Re-imagine Ontario, our vision, mission, and values

• Credits will be given to the successful candidate; references will be provided if required upon the completion of assignments.

• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

• Experience in creating professional quality photos and videos while working with a charity or non-profit organization is an asset, but not mandatory.

• Amateur artists are welcome to apply.

• Ability to shoot in different angles, locations, and diverse subjects.

• Can do video editing and add effects independently.

• Ability to demonstrate professional level skills due to relevant experience.

• Great communication and creative skills.

• Work within tight deadlines and use discretion with sensitive materials/persons

• Required to provide their own cameras and digital video equipment and editing software.

Rates:

Pay rate is per job and is negotiable
