Job Summary:Destination Wedding Planner and Producer
Destawed is seeking a talented and experienced Destination Wedding Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing end-to-end planning and coordination services for destination weddings. They will ensure that every aspect of the event is executed flawlessly. As a Destination Wedding Planner, you will work closely with clients, vendors, guests and other team members to deliver exceptional wedding experiences that exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to determine their wedding vision, preferences, and budget
- Negotiate contracts and secure necessary permits and licenses for the event
- Ensure seamless event execution on the day of the wedding, including vendor coordination, timeline management, and troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Develop and manage comprehensive wedding timelines, budgets, and checklists
- Oversee vendor communications, including payment schedules, performance expectations, and deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication to clients throughout the planning process
- Research and recommend destination wedding venues, vendors, and service providers
- Manage and reconcile wedding budgets, ensuring that expenses remain within budget constraints
- Coordinate and execute destination wedding trips from room allocation, vendor meetings, private group check-ins, events, layouts, and more
- Facilitate the selection and design of wedding invitations, decor, and other wedding details
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant event planning software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in destination wedding planning or event planning. Wedding-related experience is an asset but not required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple weddings simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for weddings as needed
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
- Proficiency in Hindi, Punjabi, or Spanish is an asset, but not a requirement
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary:Negotiable based on experience
Schedule: In office, Travel abroad, Weekend availability
