Video Editor Jobs

We are hiring a full-time, remote Video Editor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing episodes of our online web series from start to finish for various platforms in various formats. You will work with provided footage and follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to produce a high-quality and polished content.

Our show is an exciting and engaging series where our host, Aaron Van Kampen, travels around the world to meet successful individuals. The series focuses on conducting interviews with these individuals, providing viewers with insights into their lives, and showcasing their unique lifestyles. Through captivating storytelling, stunning visuals, and compelling narratives, our show aims to inspire and entertain our audience.

Responsibilities

• Creation of compelling, comprehensive and cohesive stories.
• Handle and organize large raw footage files
• Organize the edited footage in a none sequential sequence, ensuring a cohesive narrative flow.
• Add and level sound effects and music throughout each project
• Edit videos for a web series, following established procedures.
• Add and implement B-roll, graphics, transitions, and show branding.
• Cutdown lengthy amounts of footage to focus on important moments and remove unnecessary elements.
• Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and provide feedback.
• Master audio levels, remove background noises and apply effects to overall sound.
• Apply colour correction to maintain visual consistency from various cameras.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools, preferably LucidLink.
• Expert understanding of video formats, frame rates, encoding, proxies and .
• Professional and fast operating computer hardware for advanced editing
• Expert Audio engineering, mastering, repair and levelling audio
• Proven 5+ years of professional experience in video editing.
• Expert colourist with advanced ability to colour match
• Expert narrative and visual storytelling.
• 24/7 High speed internet access
• Advanced knowledge with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.

• Keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and comedic material
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate a passion for storytelling and filmmaking.
• Great communication skills, and ability to provide and receive feedback.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal skills.
• An eye for composition, a good sense of timing and sequencing, and impeccable attention to detail.
