Junior Video Editor Jobs

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Junior Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will exhibit a deep understanding of video retention, pacing, and a proficiency in handling PNG files. This role is part-time and contract-based, making it perfect for individuals seeking flexibility and experience in the editing industry.

Responsibilities

Edit and assemble raw footage according to scripts or the direction of head editor and Owner

Work with multiple styles of video, from funny youtube videos to professional corporate video

Apply a deep understanding of video retention and pacing to create engaging and impactful videos

Use graphics and special effects to enhance the narrative or concept of the video

Handle and manipulate PNG files and other graphics to complement video content

Communicate with team members to understand the vision of each project

Participate in review sessions, making corrections based on feedback

Ensure all work is completed on schedule

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in video editing

Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve

Strong understanding of video retention dynamics and pacing in storytelling

Proficient in handling PNG files and other visual elements in video editing

Ability to take direction and work in a team environment

Excellent communication skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, or a related field is preferred

This is a remote, contract position offering part-time hours. The successful candidate will have the freedom to work from any location while gaining valuable professional experience.
