Urban Design Technician Jobs

WHAT WE DO: Better Neighbourhoods Inc. is a boutique consulting firm providing planning, urban design, engineering, and land development consulting services to land developers throughout the Niagara Region. Better Neighbourhoods Inc. utilizes Smart Growth/New Urbanist principles to maximize value and improve neighbourhoods.As a community service we advocate applying good urban design principles to municipal policies, and public works standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Drafting and designfor site planning

•Research planning policyregulations

•Prepare 2D & 3D colour renderings

•Prepare and maintain CAD Drafting standards + templates

•Drafting support for engineering

•Communications with project managers and contractors

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

•Post Secondary degree or diploma in Urban Design/Architecture or related study

•Minimum 2 years experience in a planning or drafting related environment

•Knowledge of zoning regulations

•High AutoCAD proficiency

•3D rendering experience

•Artistic ability an asset

•Proficient using Microsoft Office

•Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite

•Experience with Land Registry Office an asset

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Full-time: 40 Hours/Week

• Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

• 2 Weeks Vacation
