Job Description
Adecco is seeking a skilled and licensed Truck Mechanic to join our Transportation client. As a Truck Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of trucks. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks to meet quality and safety standards. In this role, you will be responsible to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the company fleet in a timely and efficient manner. Diagnose problems found during inspections Prescribe the appropriate remedial actions in a timely manner Provide exceptional customer service to drivers Support and encourage Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship Perform preventative maintenance with on-road equipment Qualifications: Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic, preferably with expertise in heavy-duty trucks. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in trucks. Strong knowledge of truck components, engines, transmissions, and braking systems. Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed. Basic level computer skills (paperless work order entry) Should hold a valid BC Driver's License Ability to work independently without supervision Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
