What does one (perfect) day look like?

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Administrator will be responsible for maintaining shipment tracking files, recording the company’s transportation spend, monitoring the transportation email inbox and preparing outbound shipments departing from the Clearly warehouse. This position will enable the right candidate to gain valuable logistics experience, working closely with the Transportation Manager as they focus on the broader transportation needs of the business. In addition to recording and maintaining transportation data, the administrator will gain regulatory experience with goods moving internationally, and will communicate directly with vendors, EssilorLuxottica entities and freight forwarding companies.

Your main KPIs

• Outbound shipments are organized and booked promptly.
• Other administrative functions as required.
• Inbound delivery ETAs are tracked, updated and communicated.

Where we expect you to shine

• Communication between EssilorLuxottica DCs, retail stores, freight forwarding companies/couriers and vendors is crucial to maintaining an effective supply chain. Expected transit times of goods moving between these entities needs to be monitored closely and reported to the necessary stakeholders. Important follow ups will need to be carried out in a timely manner.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned in the absence of the transportation manager.
• Record shipment data of movement of goods to and from VRX, EssilorLuxottica DCs, vendors and retail stores. In some instances, this will go beyond recording data and will require shipment setup and execution.
• Prepare and coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments as required. This will require close coordination between the transportation team and the inventory, receiving and returns teams. The transportation administrator will provide the final approval of outbound shipments.
