Job Description

ORGANIZING ASSISTANT


This is a permanent part time position (approximately 12-15 hours per week) with the

opportunity for increased hours based on job performance, skills and abilities.


Job Summary: The Organizing Assistant position will support the Refine Home Inc.

team in a variety of capacities pertaining to the overall service delivery of Refine Home

Inc.

This position will start out as an Organizing Assistant role for 12-15 hours per week

(part-time). The Organizing Assistant will become part of the Refine Home Inc. team

and support other team members while having the opportunity to work alongside

clients who are in need of downsizing, moving and organizing services. This position

will include: organizational skills, administration support and face to face work with

clients and being involved in a team environment.


Qualifications:

• Professional Organizing courses, business or related field

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• This position is primarily based on interpersonal skills, communication and

organizational skills. Any relevant training, workshops and post-secondary

training related to this position will be an asset.

• Computer knowledge and skills is preferred (word, excel)

• Social media and marketing experience (Instagram, Facebook and website

maintenance)

• Strong Interpersonal skills and effective communication skills

• Enjoy working with adults, primarily seniors and mature clients.

Training & Experience: Candidates with any training or experience in Professional

Organizing would be an asset; however Refine Home Inc is willing to train and mentor

the best candidate for this position. The Organizing Assistant will receive on-the-job

training and supported in their new role with the tools, skills and competencies to

perform their tasks.


Requirements: The successful candidate will:

• Provide a criminal record check clearance letter

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs as this job is physical at times and the ability to lift and

move boxes and materials/supplies.

• Class 5 driver’s license and a vehicle to transport supplies, including getting to

and from client’s residences.


Job Duties & Competencies:

• Supporting the Refine Home Inc. team as required with stocking supplies and

preparing organizing & moving supply bins for team members for day to day

operations.

• Working alongside team members and clients on moving and downsizing jobs

which include decluttering projects, organizing services, packing and unpacking

services for clients and move management services.

• Assisting team members on professional organizing projects for clients.

• If the candidate has social media experience this would be included in their

weekly duties to manage and maintain all social media platforms (Instagram,

Facebook, Website)

• Some administration duties to support the Manager (financial documents

prepared and some office support) as required.

• Purchasing supplies as required.

• Participating in consultations with potential clients, presentations and PR with

local realtors and networking opportunities.


Employment Terms: Part-time (Monday to Friday) 12-15 hours per week. Schedule is

negotiable based on candidate and Refine Home Inc. This position has the potential

for increased hours based on candidate’s desire and skill based outcomes.


Wage: Starting at $27-$31 based on skills & qualifications with opportunities to grow

within the Refine Home Inc. company in management, skills and service delivery to

clients.
