Role Purpose
The Trade Compliance Manager holds the critical role of leading and managing the trade compliance at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and involves liaising with all departments on the trade compliance landscape.
Key Accountabilities
  • Deliver trade compliance and other relevant training for the RRMC business.
  • To manage and lead Trade Compliance within Rolls-Royce Motor Cars (RRMC), ensuring all related activities, departments and movement of people and goods are compliant.
  • Monitor and ensure the Local Export Control environment is effective, efficient and compliant for all RRMC entities supported.
  • To Implement and monitor the Trade Compliance elements of Group Global Customs and Export strategy for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. and advise where needed, any differentiation requirements of the business.
  • To maintain the established internal AEO Audit program for continual readiness for reassessment of Ltd and GmbH by HMRC and legislative changes such as UCC.
  • Challenge and steer the ongoing maintenance of the AEO accreditation within RRMC in accordance with Finance expectations.
  • The position reports local topics to the LECF at least once a year and reports a quarterly summary to the board.
  • To manage and executes the resolution of all relevant trade compliance related issues.
  • Lead, manage, motivate and develop the intern position within the Trade Compliance and graduates on placement
  • Responsible for steering the resolution of all RRMC trade compliance.
  • Establish, manage and maintain RRMC specific import and export process documentation from both an efficiency and legislative perspective, advising business partners / stakeholders as appropriate.
  • The position has the power to enforce governance around trade compliance topics within the RRMC business, including but not limited to stop sale authority, terminate/stop business relations, stop export/import shipments, licence applications etc.
Qualification:
  • Professional Customs Qualification.
  • Significant experience of working in International Trade.
  • Working knowledge of SAP GTS system.
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
