Hosted~FTP~ is a leading MFT company and one of the first SaaS companies to fully transition to the Amazon Cloud.Hosted~FTP~ offers businesses the benefits of moving to the Cloud, while providing an Ultra-secure, easy to use alternative to traditional “in-house” FTP/FTPS/SFTP servers.We are seeking a full time permanent Technical Support Specialist at Hosted~FTP~ for remote technical support/sales position. Additional skills in social media, WordPress website development, cyber security, and script development, are definite assets that will put you to the top of the list.The Technical Support Specialist (TSS) is responsible for handling service and technical support inquiries, responding quickly to online chats, assessing customer support or sales calls, and referring escalated calls as appropriate.
The TSS must be able to understand the technical aspects and business use cases and technology for our cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) file transfer business. This includes understanding detailed FTP/FTPS/SFTP protocols and debugging/creating scripts to support login and file transfer activities. The TSS will be required to do real time analysis of FTP technical issues, investigate end user scripts, and use appropriate debugging tools. This also includes understanding Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure Cloud services IaaS as they are deployed to support our SaaS application.This position will require hosting webinars with senior technical architects, It Managers, and senior business stakeholders and demonstrating our service features and resolving customer service issues. The TSS is required to always provide a high level of customer service to clients while striving to achieve business performance targets through superior communications skills. The TSS should also communicate to clients how bundle upgrades provide features that can benefit existing and/or new use cases. Hosted~FTP~ responsibility for the TSS emphasizes that the role includes both Sales and Support.Reliability, integrity, and an aptitude for technical support/sales and the ability to learn quickly are key traits for this position.
