About The Role


We have an immediate opportunity for a  Field Service /  Technical Service Engineer  to join our talented team of technicians in  Canada and will be reporting to Aftermarket & Service Manager. This role will be responsible for providing technical service and support to our clients in the food packaging and processing industry.


The Technical Support Department is primarily responsible for installations, commissioning and maintenance of tna manufactured equipment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Participate in industry trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Support and collaborate with the Sales and Project Managers during machine trails and pre- installation works.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and scheduled servicing of equipment.
  • Communicate product modifications, faults and development potential to our Engineers.
  • Develop strong professional relationships.
  • Complete weekly timesheets and reports to the Aftermarket & Service Manager.
  • Extensive local and international travel (at short notice) will be required.
  • Provide support to clients, in relation to breakdowns and queries.
  • Carry out installations, commissioning and maintenance of tna equipment.


Desired Skills & Experience


  • Sound experience in utilising AutoCAD and MS Project.
  • Competent in industrial electronic theory and schematic.
  • Trade or degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Industrial software programming skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.
  • Solid understanding of PC/PLC.
  • Packaging or processing manufacturing experience will ensure a smooth transition.
  • Valid passport with a minimum of 6 months until its expiration date.
  • Prepared to travel regularly - at short notice, locally and overseas.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to handle multiple time sensitive projects, be flexible and work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
