Position Overview
Microserve is looking for a Tech Centre Associate to join our team in Calgary, AB. As a Tech Centre Associate, you will be responsible for supporting various departments within the Tech Centre which include Warehouse Operations (shipping/receiving), Inventory Management, and work as a backup driver.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
We work in a fast-paced environment, rolling up our sleeves to build something bigger than ourselves. Other duties may arise from time to time/most of the time and as a team, we look to support each other. This includes:
- Pick and process orders as required
- Communicating errors to relevant parties
- Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties
- Verify documents for accuracy on shipping and receiving paperwork
- Coordinate shipping with couriers
- Picking/Receiving/Inventory management/Clean up in Warehouse
- Assisting our driver(s) loading / unloading trucks, and with deliveries (when needed)
- Organizing and processing incoming warehouse inventory
- Work proactively to ensure that services delivery is aligned to the client needs (Meeting SLA)
- Ensure good housekeeping and safety procedures are maintained in the shipping area
- Moving skids into disposal, helping our drivers load or unload trucks (when needed)
Inventory Management
- Research lost product and pallet situations and update inventory system
- Responsible for quality on all products, including checking & recording all date sensitive items
- Performs analysis of current inventory and/or usage, and ensures the proper placement of product throughout the warehouse
- Identifies transactions that require investigations and carries out investigations to maintain inventory accuracy
- Organizes inventory systematically in aisles and slots and maintains reporting of SKU’s by location
- Monitors work order completion / backorders and supports various departments to maintain planned orders to ensure client delivery requirements remain accurate and as per service levels
- Works on “stock on hand” shortages and “wrong product shipped” claims to correct possible stocking errors
- Completes Daily Cycle count assignments
- Update inventory systems consistently and in a timely manner (Transfers between TC)
- Communicates and works directly with Purchasing Department on the status of any dated product
- Researches variances between actual physical stock count and computerized balance and adjusts stock to the correct amount(s)
- Performs analysis of current inventory and/or usage, and ensures the proper placement of product throughout the warehouse
- Monitors the rotation of products and ensures the condition of products in the assigned area is up to standard for sale
- Rotations of all date sensitive items and pull if dates are close dated
- Ensures proper stock rotations to minimize obsolete inventory
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience
- While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch
- Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity
- Strong computer skills; Proficient in MS Office
- Proficiency in Tech Centre operations; Relevant experience with data analysis and inventory management /ERP systems /Connect Wise is desirable
- Employee may lift, lower, and carry products up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand
- High school diploma
- 1-2 years of experience operating Tech Centre equipment, such as “Stand-Up” forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Bachelors in related fields are considered an asset
