Duties and Responsibilities
As our Tasting Room Manager, you are responsible for building, motivating, and leading a team to exceed our guest’s expectations in the Tasting Room, Spirit Lounge and at local markets and events. You will take great pride in your performance and look for and engage in new challenges with enthusiasm.
Leadership
· Lead and motivate your team, ensuring a high level of performance and dedication in a fast-paced environment
· Provide comprehensive training as well as on the job coaching
· Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement paying close attention to our weekly sales goals
· Inspire a high level of warmth and professionalism for the team, through personal presence, style, personality, and modeling a genuine commitment to excellence
· Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed
Guest Experience
· Deliver and host guest experiences specifically designed to create special moments that leave lasting impressions as well as an increase in revenue
· Coordinate hospitality events, such as tastings, VIP tastings and community events
· Create an incentive program for associates to create lasting repeat business
Administrative
· Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers, and accounting for daily sales. Ensure that cash accounting is correct and complete at the end of the business day
· Create, communicate, and modify staff schedules for the Tasting Room, local tastings/events and local markets
· Ensure POS system is up to date with current inventory
· Ensure all sales are being entered accurately and in a timely manner
· Draft newsletters, maintain social media presence and website content
· Train and oversee the Order Desk
· Assist the Distiller in maintaining production tasks
· Coordinate daily inventory and reconcile weekly inventory
· Monitor supply levels for ingredients/packaging supplies for efficient purchasing
· Provide employees with timely performance reviews to help with their development
. Use of the backend of the POS to organise and ship products directly from the Tasting Room
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Shopify and managing E-mail
- Must have Serving it Right Certificate, Food Safe Certificate
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements including standing for extended periods of time, navigating stairs and lift and carry up to 40lbs
- Minimum 2 years successful management experience, ideally in a distillery or winery setting

Salary:negotiable based on experience, $40,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
