Tasting Room Associate Jobs

Little Engine Wines is a family owned & operated artisanal winery on the Naramata Bench focused on producing premium wines from the highest quality grape varietals of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
We are seeking full-time and part-time Tasting Room Associates for the Spring, Summer and early Autumn to promote the sale of wine, wine clubs, and retail products. We strive to provide an exceptional and educational experience for all visitors and are committed to helping grow the overall knowledge, perception and quality of our region. Our associates are paid top of industry wages and earn gratuities due to the elevated seated tasting experience that they provide.

Responsibilities will include:
- Engaging visitors and conducting wine tastings.
- Operating the Point of Sale and appointment booking systems.
- Promoting the Little Engine Wine Club and enrolling new Club Members.
- Packing shipments, stocking and cleaning.
- Assist with winery events
Candidates are required to:
- Be at least 19 years of age and have a valid Serving It Right certificate.
- Possess strong communication skills related to team work and customer service.
- Be available and flexible to work some week days, all weekends & holidays and some private events.
- Be able to work outdoors, standing for long periods and at a quick pace when needed.
- Be able to lift and carry cases of wine approximately 44+ lbs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- WSET or applicable wine knowledge certificates are assets
- Strong computer/POS skills with data entry considered an asset
- Flexible schedule.
- Strong pride in working at a premium winery, providing an exceptional experience to all guests.
Employment Details & Benefits
Seasonal Employment throughout May 2023 – October 2023
Location: Penticton, Naramata Bench
$19 - $21 per hour based on experience and knowledge
