Role Summary

Our Ideal candidate has a good level of exposure to microservices/API platform admin (kubernetes, containers, devops).

• Ability to work in an environment spanning multiple geographic locations with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to lead a distributed team of Middleware administrators in a fast-paced, high-availability environment where the focus is on application performance, uptime and customer satisfaction
• Contributes technically and remains a key hands-on contributor to the projects and tasks of the Middleware team
• Motivated, self-starter.? Willing to undertake responsibilities for continuous improvement of environment and offerings outside of direct assignments as identified.
• Has a functional understanding and experience with ITIL framework for service/incident/change/problem management. Ensures the Middleware team understands and follows ITIL best practices and company policies.
• Strength in functioning within a cross-disciplinary team to understand and contribute beyond core platform competencies and responsibilities.

Key Technical Responsibilities:

• IIB – 20+ distinct applications/services with multiple instances and environments (DEV/TEST/PROD/DR)
• Implement and support automated jobs for managed file transfer using Ipswitch MOVEit platform.
• MuleSoft – under development with multiple environments (DEV/TEST/PROD/DR)
• Develop and support in-house scripts as required to automated administrative functions using UNIX KSH and PERL, PYTHON, JYTHON scripting languages.
• Participate in annual disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing.
• Providing security related updates to management using cyber security dashboard.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of core J2EE and related technology (web services, messaging, SSO, etc.) and relationship to supported Middleware technology.
• WAS – 10+ distinct applications with multiple instances and environments (DEV/TEST/PROD/DR)
• Knowledge of SSL certificates including creation of CSRs and installation/update/tracking of certificates.
• Interact with multiple internal/external (including clients) stakeholders to provide both project?and steady state support for supported Middleware platforms across multiple applications/environment/instances:
• Scheduling and deploying platform upgrades/updates
• Installation, configuration and maintenance (including fixes/patches) of supported technology platforms acting as SME to liaise with multiple stakeholders:
• JBoss – 1 distinct application with multiple environments (DEV/TEST/PROD/DR)
• Provide 24x7 rotating on-call support for business-critical applications (acknowledgement within 15 minutes) as well as scheduled business activities such as monthly pre-approved outage windows for system maintenance (“Green Zones”) and scheduled application deployments.
