Position Overview:

The role will contribute to a multinational effort focused on designing and implementing cutting-edge robotics and automation projects within the mining industry. As aSystems Engineerwith a background in Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields, you will engage in multifaceted aspects of diverse robotic projects, ranging from conceptualization to execution. This role is collaborative and works with the sales and marketing department and is involved in the development of business proposals and participation in client meetings.

Key Accountabilities and Activities:

• Engage hands-on in software and hardware development, integration, configuration, and testing.
• Work directly with project directors, ensuring seamless coordination and engagement.
• Attend meetings with existing clients and prospective partners.
• Collaborate actively with the company's commercial and marketing teams.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with clients' technical counterparts.
• Partner with the sales and marketing team in crafting compelling business proposals.
• Work on the design, configuration, implementation, and initial operation of automated/robotic systems.

Job Requirements:

• Desirable knowledge of robotics frameworks like ROS, software development life cycles, cybersecurity, and utilization of artificial intelligence tools.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Software or equivalent field, with3-5 years of automation engineering experience ideally in a mining/industrial environment.
• Must have eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• Embrace a collaborative, positive, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to travel nationally and globally.
• Demonstrated autonomy, proactiveness, goal-driven orientation, and adaptability to diverse work environments (remote, office, field).
• Experience in developing business proposals in partnership with the sales team
• Proficiency in programming and application development using languages such as C++ and Python.
• Experience in robotic platforms (arms, transport units, etc.) preferred

Additional Information:

• This role follows a hybrid work arrangement encompassing both remote and in-person responsibilities
• Candidates may be located in GTA, however will be required (based on business needs) to travel to Northern Ontario to fulfill face-to-face meeting and event attendance requirements.
