System Engineer Jobs

Robert Half has been engaged by a client of ours in who are in immediate need of a System Engineer II for a 3-month contract with the potential to go permanent. This System Engineer II opportunity will be based on-site in Surrey B.C., and provide the successful applicant the opportunity to be apart of a growing team. What you'll do as an System Engineer II:

• Record user requirements, formulate logical problem statements, devise solutions utilizing information technology (IT) or alternative approaches, evaluate costs and benefits, and present recommendations for approval.
• Address escalated issues from junior staff, offering resolutions and assistance.
• Fulfil project work as needed.
• Conduct analysis and undertake the development, implementation, modification, and installation of intricate enterprise systems across various operational environments.
• Create and manage technical documentation, including testing plans, to aid system users and facilitate the continuous operation, maintenance, and growth of the system.
• Provide support in suggesting, designing, testing, and executing system upgrades and enhancements.
• Generate system and programming specifications to fulfill user requirements.

What you bring as an System Engineer II:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft SCCM
• Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
• 3+ years' of experience supporting desktop/server operating systems and technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, Exchange and VMware
• We especially are looking for candidates with ITIL certification
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
• Proficient in analyzing complex business problems, proposing effective solutions and understanding and applying business vision and direction
• Azure Active Directory experience preferred
