What You Get to Do:

• Monitor and adapt to industry practices impacting ATCO Electric.
• Establish project schedules, develop work packages, and manage costs.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize project planning, execution, and design.
• Engage in contractor management, ensuring adherence to best practices and obligations.
• Promote a safety-first culture, handle incident investigations, and ensure adherence to OH&S regulations.
• Supervise, mentor, and lead construction professionals.
• Interface with internal departments for land acquisition and project coordination.
• Oversee a broad portfolio of transmission line projects ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of construction experience, ideally at least 5 years in transmission line projects.
• Flexibility to travel and work varying hours.
• In-depth understanding of OH&S Regulations and transmission construction standards.
• Valid Alberta class 5 vehicle operator’s license.
• Power Line Technician (PLT) certification and CAPM/PMP are assets.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management tools.
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• Ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings.
