We are looking for Consumer Business Development Interns to join our Global Consumer Business Development team. These roles will support the team’s work in Big Screen and Speaker Partnerships, Media and Entertainment Partnerships, and Platform and Domain Partnerships. As an intern, you will learn to identify, optimise, and advocate for business opportunities and partnerships that drive long-term value for Spotify. Above all, you will impact the way the world experiences audio.

What you'll do

• Build relationships inside partner organisations across all functions.
• Work with product, tech and design teams to define and support distribution strategies/activities together with the partner.
• Arrange and review contractual agreements.
• Coordinate with other relevant departments across the business, specifically Legal, Licensing, Product, Technology, Marketing, Content, Revenue and Premium teams.
• Interface regularly with teams globally; both via calls and video chats, as well as in person.
• Assist in identifying new opportunities to grow partnerships and unlock additional value for both Spotify and our partners.
• Support the entire lifecycle of a partnership, in support of partner leads, from initial opportunity vetting to signing the deal to leading the health of the partnership throughout.
• Learn about partner business and the overall technology industry.

Who you are

• Curious about how things work and interested in new insights, technologies and product integrations.
• Detail oriented and thrive in solving sophisticated problems.
• You are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or MBA in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Industrial Economics or a related field of study.
• You understand that cooperation and team play is key to success.
• Have a graduation date of 2024.
• You have a growth mindset, you won’t be afraid to step in when needed and you act on a proactive basis.
• You are organised with foundational project management skills.

Where you'll be

• Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Americas region in which we have a work location. Preferably in New York or Los Angeles.
• We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!

• Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration.

Our paid summer internships last for 10-13 weeks and start at the beginning of June. The last day to apply is May 10th, 2023 at 10AM EST.

The United States hourly rate for this position is 27.00 USD (Undergraduate First Year & Sophomores), 32.00 USD (Undergraduate Juniors & Seniors), 44.00 USD (Masters) & 58.00 USD (PhD) per hour plus a one time intern stipend of 2,253 USD. This position is overtime eligible. These rates may be modified in the future.
