: Substation Electrical Maintenance Technician - High Voltage

Location: Ontario, Canada

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Substation Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with expertise in working with substations, high voltage systems, automation equipment, 309 electrician construction and maintenance, and electrical distribution. If you have a background in these areas and possess a passion for ensuring reliable electrical infrastructure, this role is for you.

• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement automation solutions for improved efficiency and reliability.
• Document maintenance and repair activities for accurate record-keeping.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and safety standards related to substation operations.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-voltage substations and associated equipment.
• Coordinate with technicians and contractors to facilitate project completion within scheduled timelines.

• Okay with traveling from site to site
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of 309 electrician construction and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and their components.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and resolving complex issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Proven experience in working with substations, high voltage systems, and automation equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics effectively.
