Maintenance Operations Technician Jobs

The Winnipeg Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Maintenance Operations Technician at IG Field. Reporting to the Maintenance Operations Manager they will assist in ensuring the stadium stays well maintained and in excellent operating condition while will playing a key role in creating a safe space for all stakeholders, players and fans. Responsibilities:

• Other duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workshop
• Assist with seasonal stadium start up and shut down
• General hands-on building maintenance including but not limited to: Patching/painting, minor plumbing, repairing seats, replacing ceiling tiles, flooring repairs, changing light bulbs, and repairing furniture, office and cleaning equipment
• Assist with contractor management
• Act as 2nd contact for fire alarms and emergency response
• Assist with mechanical systems maintenance and monitoring of essential building systems
• Assist with event prep/teardown, field and building turnovers

Requirements

• Capable of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Web Brower)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines in a safe and effective manner
• Basic knowledge of HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical/Fire protection systems
• Ability to work evening/weekends/overtime based on event schedule
• Experience working with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Experience with operating or maintaining heavy equipment (loader, skid steer, forklift) is considered an asset
• A valid drivers licence
• Ability to work with a large variety of power and hand tools safely and effectively
• Experience in trades work is considered an asset
• Experience in a building maintenance role
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time, climb ladders and lift 50lbs+
• Must be comfortable working with the public and have strong interpersonal, verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in with a team as well as independently.
