Eagle Copters Maintenance Ltd. (ECML) is a Calgary-based company offering complete helicopter fleet management support to operators since 1975. We offer purchasing, selling, leasing, maintenance and overhaul of helicopters in the global marketplace.
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Structures Engineer / Technologist will be responsible for ensuring all structural designs meet company Engineering Procedures and design requirements.Assist in design, analysis, testing, certification, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Create and review certification data packages: drawings, installation manuals, Instruction for Continuing Airworthiness, test plans, test reports, qualification reports, etc.
- Manage engineering projects utilizing both internal and external resources ensuring successful project completion.
- Work with Customers, Installers and Product Support Team to support the installation and certification of aeronautical products.
Qualifications
- Eligible for certification under APEGA or ASET (i.e. P.Eng, P.L.Eng, or P.Tech).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent in related field.
- Experience with AutoCAD Inventor and/or AutoCAD Vault is an asset.
- Aviation structural design and substantiation experience is an asset.
- Experience with aircraft certification and familiarity with TCCA CARs 521, 527, 529; FAA Part 21, 27 & 29 and EASA CS 27 & 29.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, aviation/aerospace.
- Ability to create documents/data using MS Office Suite and AutoCAD is required.

- Make recommendations on policies and procedures to support continuous improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and effectively handle changing priorities.
- Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team within an open office environment.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory/professional standards and company policies.
- Attend training courses as directed by the company to ensure knowledge and skills are current.
- Other duties as assigned.
