The Specialist of Systems Optimization and Support is responsible for the development, optimization, business representation, and maintenance of all key store systems driving operational excellence, maximizing profitability, and ensuring smooth store operations in a retail environment.
Individual Accountabilities Are
  • Collaborate with Retail Operations and other cross-functional teams to optimize store processes related to workforce management, inventory management, production planning, forecasting, and promotions.
  • Share knowledge with other team members to maximize overall team effectiveness in supporting change and usage of key systems
  • Work closely with Operations and Retail teams to understand their needs, challenges, and requirements related to store processes and support.
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations (including OHS Standards)
  • Work closely with various stakeholders, including Retail Operations and Merchandising, Stores Network, Loss Prevention, Learning & Development, and National Procurement.
  • Analyze various systems and data elements to identify opportunities related to employee engagement, customer experience, loss prevention, shrink, and labour.
  • Maintain knowledge of key systems (CAO, FIM, ISP/POS, Kronos, etc.) in all applicable banners in order to properly analyze data
  • Collaborate with Solution Centre to identify training needs, developing training materials, and conducting training sessions to improve store processes, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Encourage teamwork, recognize achievements, and address team challenges to promote a motivated and high-performing team environment.
  • Develop, present, and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and sales performance.
  • Foster a positive and engaging team culture by providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations and Retail, to understand their needs, challenges, and requirements related to store processes and support. Collaborate on projects, initiatives, and process improvement efforts to drive operational excellence, enhance customer experience, and achieve business objectives.
  • Create, implement, and evolve system processes, execute projects, and provide support to all levels of business across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development team to continually review and deliver eLearning materials and resources for store teams to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance.
  • Continually develop systems change management processes, integrity of system data, and contributing materials and analytics.
  • Collaborate on projects, initiatives, and process improvement efforts to drive operational excellence, enhance customer experience, and achieve business objectives.
Job Requirements
What Your Resume And Experience Will Demonstrate To Us
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, and to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proven experience in analyzing and interpreting data to drive insights, recommendations, and process improvements.
  • Bilingual proficiency in written and spoken English and French - The candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail operations, store processes, or related roles with focus on data analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Product Management, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
