Automated Systems Optimization, Accountabilities

• Maintain process documentation related to classification and assessment of SKUs to optimize efficient operations of the Symbotic system and communicate and this information and it’s execution to the DC operational inbound team.
• B) Items rejected from Symbotic system are assessed and initiates EOPs or improvement tickets to buying / supply chain teams.
• Support outbound operations team and Symbotic team to maximize uptime and address specific SKU issues and work to ensure SKU related problems and SKU classifications and related processes are documented and communicated to the inbound planning and compliance team.
• Work with inbound planning, compliance team and Symbotic team; determine SKU classifications requirements for Symbotic eligible SKUs vs. conventional SKUs on a SKU by SKU basis and by specifying documented SOPs.
• D) Issues encountered are noted to allow management to measure efforts vs. results and to make better decisions.
• Perform daily on floor audits to ensure:
• Work with GTW systems team to keep the “SKU assessment tool” accurate and up to date.
• A) Standards are being applied at time of receipt.
• Using new and existing reports manage Symbotic system capacity and coordinate with the inbound planning and compliance team efficient receipt and internal routing of merchandise.
• C) Rejected pallets are evaluated and status is corrected to allow induction / re-induction.
• Work with supply chain and buying teams, maximize the percentage of SKUs distributed in the Symbotic system by planning and carrying-out a mutually agreed to process to design vendor packaging that allows SKUs to be distributed in the Symbotic system.

Automated Systems Optimization , Knowledge And Skills

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Ability to undertake and complete tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of distribution standard opereations procedures
• Excellent team player that is self-disciplined, positive and able to pay attention to details.
• Good PC skills, MS Word, MS Excel – A test will be administered.
• Use of MS Access, AutoCAD and experience with technical material and documentation.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Post-secondary studies in business administration, architecture, engineering or supply chain management.
• Experience working in a warehouse / WMS.

Sunday to Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
