What Role You Will Play In Our Team

Are you mechanically savvy and motivated to join Imperial as a Journeyperson Machinist/Millwright? If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a strong team environment, then we have the role for you! Currently we have an opportunity within our Product Solutions Division. Working at our Nanticoke Refinery in Nanticoke, Ontario has a lot of perks. You get to use your technical skills and knowledge of safety to maintain and optimize a key facility in upholding Ontario’s fuel supply.

What You Will Do

• Typical work hours Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4pm, one Friday off per month
• Coordinates with other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
• Participate in developing solutions to technical issues and implementing improvements
• Work in a manner that improves and enhances teamwork, site organization and efficiency, conducting all business in a professional and ethical manner, communicating in a clear and timely fashion and providing accurate information and records
• As a 24hr facility, respond to refinery needs off-hours if possible
• Maintain, Repair, Manufacture, and optimize the Refinery equipment to protect the operations from interruptions

About You

Skills and Qualifications

• A Red Seal Certificate of Qualification in an applicable Red Seal trade with machining background (i.e. 433A, 429A, 430A)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating machines to manufacture components to a high degree of accuracy using various materials and methods
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

• Shop operation of drill presses, hydraulic press, forklifts, overhead cranes, lathes, milling machines, as well as field machine repairs and alignments
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons
• Preference for candidates with a high degree of mechanical aptitude and experience with pumps, steam turbines, compressors, and other machinery
• Preference for individuals who can work in both a shop and field environment performing both machinist and millwright skill sets
