A Red Seal Certificate of Qualification in an applicable Red Seal trade with machining background (i.e. 433A, 429A, 430A)

Experience operating machines to manufacture components to a high degree of accuracy using various materials and methods

Preference for individuals who can work in both a shop and field environment performing both machinist and millwright skill sets

Preference for candidates with a high degree of mechanical aptitude and experience with pumps, steam turbines, compressors, and other machinery

Maintain, Repair, Manufacture, and optimize the Refinery equipment to protect the operations from interruptions

Efficient time management with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Ability to effectively convey ideas to individuals and groups, including executives, plant managers, engineers and technical personnel.

Can use current technology including software products to analyze and document engineering recommendations and services.

Attention to detail, making engineering judgements, accommodating both internal and external customers' needs.

Hold a valid driver’s license and be allowed to travel to the United States.

Experience in the field of mechanics and management;

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in mechanics and five (5) in personnel management;

Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and PM-SAP and INTERAL software;

Permanent job –37.5 hours per week;

Paid vacations during the holiday season and anticipated vacation weeks;

5+ years’ experience working on oil-fired burners, oil-fired boilers, hot water heaters, forced air furnaces, incinerators and unit heaters

Red Seal Oil Burner Mechanic or Oil Heat Systems Technician Certification is a must

Riello RL Burner experience is an asset

Operate the heating system to provide heat and hot water to the station, including resolving outages

Perform preventative maintenance on the low-pressure steam/hot water heating systems and on the controls

Respond to critical equipment failure and conduct repairs on all applicable equipment
