Job Description
Position Summary


JOB SUMMARY:


In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Specialist, Cloud Software manages and supports Software as a Service (SaaS) configuration to enable business functionality. The Specialist is responsible for maintaining the software, mapping new business requirements to configuration, release management of new features and overall health of the SaaS based solution. The Specialist will work closely with business areas and Digital Health teammates to transform the delivery of services by leveraging industry leading technology.


Typical Duties And Responsibilities


  • Coordinates testing/training of new features and functionality with the business-line
  • Documents configuration decisions and actively review for system optimization opportunities
  • Serves as the product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product.
  • Documents system integration requirements and specifications, working with system owners and the appropriate team to ensure data interfaces are developed, monitored and maintained.
  • Maintains the configuration of cloud-based applications:
  • Documents configuration, including features, options, policies, settings, defaults
  • Documents changes and updates including application and business process impact
  • Completes gap analysis between SaaS and business requirements, working with Digital Health teams on the development of process and/or systems to address shortcomings.
  • Completes ITIL Changement Management requirements and implement updates
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Maps organizational business requirements to application settings and configuration
  • Works with the Provincial shared service organization on governance, shared tenancy configuration and access requirements necessary to provision and support the application.
  • Assesses value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy
  • Assesses product roadmap and plan for the implementation of new functionality and features
  • Leads product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new application functionalities:
  • Assesses and review system reporting needs configuring software functionality to meet requirements, and submitting report specifications when not possible.
  • Assigns and directs the work of other portfolio workers in support of cloud software enablement.
  • Maintains a functional budget responsible for managing software licensing allocation and consumption, exploring opportunities to optimize application usage and maximize cost efficiency.
  • Actively mitigates roadblocks impacting successful completion of release goals
  • Develops and maintain an access model associated with the application and features, working with the Identity Management team to enable user access.

Qualfications


Education, Training, And Experience


  • A minimum of five years of proven experience as a System Administrator or equivalent supporting a cloud platform and on-premises server environment.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience and education. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Powershell scripting and automation
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Identity Management, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Cloud computing platforms: eg. Microsoft Azure, AWS
  • [Specific SaaS application] functionality and governance
  • Expert-level skill and experience with:
  • Preferred knowledge and experience with:
  • Application planning, development, delivery and operations tools (DevOps) and agile methodology
  • Working knowledge of database concepts and the ability to generate troubleshooting SQL queries
  • ITIL Processes: Configuration, Application, Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management
  • Experience working in a complex, computerized enterprise environment
  • Cloud Solution Certification eg. Microsoft, AWS, Google Certified
