Software Quality Assurance Analyst - Remote

Position Summary

The candidate will work in the team responsible for the quality of the applications provided to our internal and external clients. The software Quality Control Specialist supports an agile team in analyzing, designing, building and testing high-quality applications that meet and exceed our customer expectations. The SQC Specialist will submit and verify defects, maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification, analyzes test results to certify existing functionality and integrations and commits itself to verify that the bug is fixed. Testing will include functional and non-functional, integration, regression, system, smoke and sanity testing. The candidate is expected to have basic to intermediate knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare strategy for test cases which can be automated
• Analyze requirements (user stories) along with the dev team & identify test scenarios. Write tests based on scenarios identified
• Use of test management & other tools like Azure Devops, TestRail, Jira, JSON, Fiddler, XML, as applicable
• Execute the tests in various environments as per the test plan
• Perform Peer Reviews of the test cases on complex functionalities (accuracy, completeness and clarity)
• Capture test preparation and execution data as needed
• API testing (manual/automated as applicable)
• Execute tests in Selenium, Cucumber and SoapUI

Requirements

• Familiarity with testing multi-tier solutions.
• 2+ years of experience in the software industry as a QA Analyst
• A University degree in Computer Science, or related field of study.
• Experience with test case management and defect tracking systems.
