Software Development Manager Jobs

Position Summary

We are looking for an inspirational Software Development Manager with strong knowledge in the system development life cycle processes and procedures.The Manager will lead a team of developers to assess current applications code in legacy and new cloud services. The Manager will provide the organization with capabilities that can immediately contribute and help us tackle the opportunities and challenges that arise from our rapidly growing business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop designs of software applications to meet the needs of the business and its users.
• Submission of IT changes to change board for approvals within infrastructure, security, service management.
• Provide dashboards, metrics, and KPIs within the development team and report weekly
• Collaborate and understand needs and requirements, and to communicate the status and progress of development
• Ensure security and compliance of code development and ensure code security reviews are performed.
• Maintain all documentation related to the application code development , including technical specifications, user manuals, and release notes
• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes and opportunities.
• Participate in Agile projects and lead in both business and IT project work/tasks, as required.
• Understand Customer and Billing systems integrations , Website Portals , middleware , SFTP , scripting , powershell , SQL database
• Understanding of meter data in utilities and ability to design programs to integrate and interface meter systems using Azure Data Bricks , Data Lake , Power BI .Develop API and integrations with meter systems, Itron, TapWatch , Inovonics , Triacta, Quadlogic and other meter systems.
• The Manager of Software Application Development will tracks all projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of cloud computing including application and system integrationMicrosoft Azure , Visual Studio , .Net, Java , DevOps , AWS
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communications skills
• Certification in Microsoft Azure development an asset
• Ability to quickly learn new business functionality and technology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated skill in SDLC , Agile
• Must have experience in software application life cycle development, reporting and data management.
• A Computer Science University Degree from arecognized institution
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful software development experience.
