We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).

How You’ll Help Us:

As a PL/SQL Developer, you will use your wide array of Oracle database development knowledge to provide support to our clients. If you are interested in developing and supporting a suite of enterprise database applications and are solution driven, you will be a great fit for our team. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with a talented project team and our clients to design, build and evolve their business.

Once you are here, you will:

• Develop and maintain Oracle forms, reports, and database package
• Work in a team environment providing high-quality feedback and review of other team members’ work Identify, recommend, and implement standardization and industry best practices
• Leverage your PL/SQL skills to develop new and support existing database applications
• Work in a large team to triage and coordinate development activities
• Provide timely periodic status reporting updates on development estimates and progress updates
• Manage project workloads, schedules, scope, and deadlines to eliminate constraints and ensure that customer needs and project metrics are met
• Overcome project obstacles with ease and escalate quickly when appropriate

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience programming Oracle forms and reports
• 5+ Years of experience on Oracle 11.x (and above) in database development in an enterprise environment
• 5+ years of experience in developing Oracle PL/SQL scripts to produce packages, procedures, functions, and other objects
• 5+ years working in a fast-paced IT consulting environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exhibits critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting and meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills, with strong ability to quickly learn and comprehend business processes and problems
• Comfortable working in an application managed services (AMS) role
• Experience working on Agile team using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present technical information to all audience members (project team and client)
• Ability to debug and tune long running queries
