Summary: Team Overview

GFIPS is a collection of services which acts as an interface layer between Fixed Income books of record and various technology systems within company. The development team is charged with maintenance and enhancements to accommodate changing business needs and growth.

The technology stack of GFIPS is as follows:

• Java 8 and Spring for server-side components.

• MongoDB for data layer.

• Linux as the operating system.

• Solace, IBM MQ and Active MQ for messaging.

• Python and bash for various operational and maintenance purposes.

Skills & Requirements

The prospective hire will join a small team of developers (4-5). The candidate will be expected to overcome a steep learning curve in a relatively short amount of time, and subsequently contribute to the effort which includes implementing and maintaining existing business services as well contribute to the development effort as part of a Azure Cloud migration.

The work environment is highly fluid and team members are expected to be independent and subject to minimal supervision. It's required that the candidate have high proficiency in Java and Spring.

Also, it's preferred that the candidate has proficiency in the technology stack listed above, especially python, bash, MongoDB and Azure Kubernetes Service.

Excellent communication skills are a must, and capital markets experiences is a plus.

This role is more on More on backend, Angular is not important.

10 years of Java and Java 8.
