Software Developer - Contract Position In Montreal - St-Laurent

New contract opportunity in a technical team (Gaming Visualization). Hybrid role a few days/week at the St-Laurent office.

• Optimize both memory and performance in systems

• Be an active participant to our code review's process
• Code in C++ engine-related items
• Diagnose and solve common problems - such as load times, memory usage and performance problems - to improve the robustness of the engine

Responsibilities

• Code in C++ engine-related items
• Diagnose and solve common problems - such as load times, memory usage and performance problems - to improve the robustness of the engine
• Innovate and push the boundaries of rendering technologies
• Optimize both memory and performance in systems
• Be an active participant to our code review's process

Qualifications

• Experience working in an environment with an emphasis on concurrency, memory, and performance
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience working in an Unreal engine environment
• Well versed in software engineering principles
• Familiarity with development tools and profiling on modern systems
• Strong skills in C++ or C# and HLSL programming
• Strong understanding of how a game engine work and of editor concepts
• Strong Vectors and Matrices Mathematical knowledge
• Self-motivated with proven experience researching, developing, and optimizing rendering solutions for a variety of platforms
