INTERMEDIATE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Responsibilities:

· Design software solutions by studying information needs with PMO; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; and investigating problem areas.

· Develop and maintain technical /functional design documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts in our knowledge base.

· Act as an Intermediate Developer for solutions and ensure delivery of products/functions while following standards and methodologies working in an Agile environment.

· Develop programs and utilities, test and verification/validation strategies, peer reviews, change control, release preparation including installation plans and documentation for operational readiness and steady state support.

· Responsible for code quality, including unit level testing, system integration testing, performance testing and bug tracking.

· Responsible for ongoing system support and life cycle management including enhancement requests.

· Successful experience with Agile software development.

· Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending improvements in code base or procedures.

· Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.

· Support and develop more junior software engineers by providing mentorship and coaching.

· May be required to supervise co-op student software engineers.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelors degree in Computer Science

· 5+ years of experience as a full stack software developer

· 5+ years’ experience with REST APIs, JavaScript, XML, JSON, JQuery, CSS/BootStrap

· 3+ years’ experience HTML5 (Angular 2+/Node.js) development work

· Data handling with relational databases (prefer MSSQL, MySQL) additional database experience is a bonus

· Experience working with source control, continuous integration, and ticketing tools such as GIT/SVN, Jenkins, and Jira

· Understanding of an array of testing practices, (regression, functional, acceptance, and load testing)

· Broad knowledge of web related technologies and experience with web design, customer identity management systems and integration of data from the web layer

Essential Skills:

· 3+ years’ experience HTML5 (Angular 2+/Node.js) development work

· Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to deal professionally with people in a tactful and respectful manner, and to maintain effective working relationships

· Leadership skills to promote a team culture of collaboration and sharing

· Excellent problem-solving skills and able to think “outside the box” for creative solutions

· Strong initiative to improve processes, tools, methodologies, and overall quality of the products/services.

· Effective organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure, cope with a demanding workload, and to meet deadlines

· Ability to periodically work overtime and outside normal business hours

Nice to have:

· Demonstrated proficiency in N-tier application analysis, design, development and deployment

· Application development in other languages

· Experience developing in the Microsoft Visual Studio

· 5+ years’ experience with ERP applications, specifically with financial systems (GL, AR, AP, Project Costing, Reporting)

· Experience with Cloud ERP and integration, preferably with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 356 Operations, Dynamics 365 CRM, Microsoft Service Bus, Microsoft Power
