Skilled: Must have a strong foundation of technical knowledge and expertise related to industry standards and best practices.

Experienced: Framing, building forms, cutting and hanging drywall, reading blueprints.

At Cugino Homes the Skilled Labourer is an integral part of the Cugino team. The Skilled Labourer possesses a diverse range of traits and skills that contributes to the success of the position including carpentry, demolition, cement, drywall, and flooring, etc. Specific tasks and responsibilities of our skilled labourers can vary depending on the area of expertise and job requirements.

Primary responsibilities

• Assist with demo and cleanup
• Carrying, loading and unloading materials
• Purchase, pickup and deliver building materials
• Framing, building forms, cutting and hanging drywall, reading blueprints
• General labour including general maintenance and basic repairs
• Operating construction hand tools (ie. pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers)

• Proven ability to operate larger vehicles safely
• Proven experience framing, building forms, cutting and hanging drywall, reading blueprints.
• Demonstrated ability maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment specific to the trade
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required
• Demonstrated ability to safety secure building materials on vehicles
• Cell phone with mobile data
• Understanding of residential electrical and plumbing as well as flooring systems and installation and tile installation
• 5 years of demonstrated experience in the construction industry
