SWAT Consulting Inc. is seeking an experienced individual to fill a full-time role for a Site Supervisor / Intermediate Environmental Scientist to support our growing remediation, reclamation, and emergency management project team. This position will be based out of Leduc, Alberta, with remote work opportunities available for the right candidate. We are looking for an an outgoing, energetic individual who will be responsible for supervising the execution of spill response projects and standard assessment, remediation, and reclamation projects throughout Western Canada (primarily within central Alberta). The appropriate candidate will bring problem solving experience and a desire to be in the field with hands-on project opportunities. The position will be approx. 70% field based, with opportunity to support both our emergency management and site closure service lines. Prior experience with oilfield environmental management work (i.e., spill response, assessment, remediation, and reclamation) is a requirement. Qualifications

The ideal applicant will have:

• Excellent teamwork skills to work positively and collaboratively with a diverse team. As well as, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Problem-solving skills as a field supervisor, including management of multiple contractors, scopes and site locations at any given time.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a safety mindset, critical thinking, strong attention to detail, and a focus on efficient task execution.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive working relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
• A Degree or Technical Diploma in an environmental field of study. It would be an advantage to be a member of a professional association (AIA, APEGA, ASET, etc.).
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the environmental consulting industry.
• Understanding of upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements including Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Guidelines, CCME Soil and Water Quality Guidelines, and the AER Directives.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 (non-GDL) driver’s licence.
• Experience conducting spill response, Phase 2 ESA, remediation, and reclamation projects. Experience with groundwater monitoring, vegetation management, and DSAs would be an asset.
