The Water Business Unit delivers integrated water management solutions to our clients across all industry sectors. You will be part of a dynamic team that integrates hydrology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, eco-hydrology, aquatic and marine sciences, surface water/stormwater engineering, and water and waste water treatment engineering to deliver sustainable solutions.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to a top-tier client’s oil sand operation and work on a field rotation schedule of 10 days on site followed by 10 days off.

Overall Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

• Assisting Project Managers in all aspects of project execution including tracking field activities, data checking and preparing supporting documentation for reports and liability assessments.
• Supervising multidisciplinary field programs including on-site safety supervision, associated documentation, contractor management and on-site client liaison;
• Conducting fieldwork for to acquire SW samples for compliance testing at specific monitoring sites across and in proximity to the Lease Boundary;
• Conducting site safety audits, including LPO’s, Haz IDs, near miss and incident reporting;
• Assisting with program scope and cost development and reporting on field programs;
• Becoming familiar with WorleyParsons’ safety manuals and complying with WorleyParsons’ Health & Safety policies and procedures;
• Completing personnel administration, including record keeping, correct and timely submission of timesheets, expense reports, etc.;
• Assisting with work planning, implementation and budgeting exercises;
• Coordinating field programs including logistics planning, staff/equipment scheduling, interfacing with on-site client representatives including ERT, Mine Ops Supervisors, etc and procurement of project supplies and contractor services;

Qualifications

• Technologist’s Diploma (or equivalent) from accredited curriculum, plus appropriate continuing education;
• Certification (e.g. C.E.T.) and/or member of ASET or other Technical Society is considered an asset.
• Experience in the upstream, midstream and/or downstream petroleum sector is considered an asset; and
• Remote and/or northern site experience is considered an asset;
• > 5 years of practical experience;
• Strong time management, project planning, and written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience or training specific to construction supervision/management is considered an asset;
