How You Will Contribute


In collaboration with cross-functional partners, you will help develop and execute the local digitalization agenda and lead initiatives according to agreed priorities. You will help deploy capital digitalization projects, ensuring they stay on budget, with senior supply chain leaders. In addition, you will work with local engineering teams with digitalization projects and topics, monitor project progress during project development and participate in optimization efforts, incorporating feedback learnings for general adaptation for other engineering teams. You will also participate in a digital community of practice, contributing your expertise. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate your knowledge of your technological area of expertise and develop more in-depth technical knowledge and demonstrate your highly refined influencing and presentation skills.

The Cluster Automation & Controls Lead is responsible for the manufacturing automation systems and cybersecurity in terms of maintaining a constant high level of system reliability. This covers existing and newly deployed systems as part of Capital projects. He/ she will be actively applying Mondelez Global Automation and Information Systems standards and procedures and is responsible for the ongoing safe state of related systems. This includes regular and long-term activities including financial planning to migrate obsolete systems into a current supported hardware and software. He /she will actively support automation driven deployments and new line/ equipment deployment in terms of integration.

Job specific requirements:


Digital Manufacturing Transformation program lead: Is responsible for the following aspects for CCN based Automation/ control systems for a cluster of plants:


  • Execute Project Management responsibilities for the Capital projects as part of the Digital Manufacturing Transformation.
  • Owns benefit and saving tracking among project progression.
  • Develops, aligns and executes site roadmaps for Digital Manufacturing Transformation.
  • Leads a multifunctional team to design, implement and fully utilize new digital solutions that provides strong benefits for the Midwest cluster.


Day to Day Ops/Project Management responsibilities: Is responsible for the following aspects for CCN based Automation/ control systems -for a cluster of plants:


  • Responsible for cyber security technology at the plant cluster following MINT standards
  • Issue escalation point for Automation, CCN Automation Infrastructure or cyber security
  • Ensure alignement between local BCP and Enterprise recovery procedures, regarding CCN Automation systems
  • Owns the business continuity plan including disaster recovery of CCN systems
  • Develops and executes site roadmaps for automation, CCN infrastructure incl delivery of shared infrastructure (IDC and CCN components)
  • Develops capability for cybersecurity and automation within the Cluster.
  • Responsible for day to day management site automation within the cluster
  • Coordinates and ensures business involvement during technology lifecycle to support changes/ upgrades/ replacements
  • Development of site and cluster budgets and management of spending for support, maintenance and lifecycle management in line with the standards
  • Ensures site is in compliance with company standards for automation, infrastructure (MINT) and cyber security
  • Collaborates with Cluster IBS lead and Plant Champion (Plant Maintenance Automation lead).


Stakeholder management (focus on optimised user compliance, process performance, and customer satisfaction)


  • Active participation in global/regional automation & systems development and security communications
  • Escalation to regional Automation Lead of desired exceptions or improvement ideas
  • Development and execution of the Process, Control & Information Systems (PC&IS), including the Digitalization roadmap and tools implementation to increase the Digital Maturity Index in the site, considering 1) Computerisation, 2) Connectivity, 3) Visibility, 4) Transparency, 5) Predictive capacity, 6) Adaptability.
