Job Description
SRE will be responsible for the operational sustainment and availability of our production environment. Our focus is on ensuring that interruptions in supply chain operations are being detected and responded to in a timely, efficient manner. We utilize various technologies and are genuinely passionate about monitoring and automation. What You Will Do


Reporting to the Manager, Systems Administration the SRE will be responsible for ensuring supply chain systems are operational and monitored.


This role is also an active participant in all aspects of Site Reliability Engineering, including technical vision, telemetry and observation decisions, automation strategy, framework development, solution delivery, incident, and problem management.


Responsibilities Include


  • Define what it means for a service to be available; develop, monitor, and alert on SLIs/SLOs
  • Document and maintain runbooks and procedures, automate (Toil Reduction) as much as possible.
  • Collaborate with admins and L3 developers to prioritize problem root cause analysis and fixes based on incident and error analysis to achieve highly reliable infrastructure, systems, and integrations.
  • Analysis for new services (in the production or design stage) to align with industry best practices & CTC monitoring framework.
  • Lead weekly operational state reviews covering performance trends, anomalies, errors, and other availability events with SREs, product owners, and development teams.
  • Identifying, configuring, & tuning: events, logs, metrics, & traces. Constant gap analysis from production incidents; required tuning identified & implemented.
  • Dashboard development to display all metrics & monitoring data. Ensure it maintains functionality, programmability, & observability
  • Experience in tools like ansible, rundeck, bitbucket, Jira, Github for automation.
  • Experience in creating, modifying and maintaining CI/CD systems (Azure devops, Jenkins)


What You Bring


  • Experience with monitoring, logging & telemetry tools like New Relic, Sumologic, Grafana, Splunk, Azure Monitor or similar
  • SRE experience creating and designing meaningful SLO/I/A and error budget definitions.
  • Excellent ability to liaise with business users, IT personnel, and vendors gathering requirements and delivering solutions.
  • Ability to identify toil and remove redundant tasks leveraging scripting and automation(python/PowerShell/shell).
  • Strong technical & analytical skills in troubleshooting and correlating information. Previous developer/application or system administrator experience


Must have


  • Experience using APM including New Relic, Grafana, Datadog, Sumologic, Splunk or similar & applying to SRE monitoring techniques (golden signals, USE & RED methodologies)
  • Python, Bash, Ansible or similar programming/scripting tools & technologies(Ansible/Rundeck)
  • Systems engineering basics including networking, DNS, virtualization, containers, & various OS (Linux, AIX, Windows)
  • Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipeline and workflow processing.


Nice to have


  • Familiarity with microservices architecture & system integrations
  • Experience with database management
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms
  • Experience with Collaboration & Change Management tools: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow
  • PowerBI, Tableau & other BI tools
  • Knowledge of Retail Business/Supply Chain
