Settlement Analyst (Capital Markets - Hybrid)

Our client, one of the big 5 banks in Canada, is looking to hire a Settlements Analyst to help support their Corporate Head Office located in the downtown Toronto core on a hybrid basis.

The banks settlements group, as part of their Capital Markets Operations team, is seeking a Settlement Analyst for a 12-month contract. The reason for this opening is to backfill a permanent employee on day-to-day business as usual functions, so that the employee can support the T+1 regulatory project. This Settlement Analyst will be responsible for handling their fixed income post-trade settlement process, and candidates with this fixed income post-trade process are an asset. Ideally, the candidate will have experience confirming trades, and they'll understand the decay process that occurs if a trade is not confirmed. If the candidate does not have settlements experience, that is fine, but the candidate must have capital markets operations experience to some level (i.e., P&I, corporate actions, entitlements, reconciliations, asset servicing, etc.). The candidate should have experience with Broadridge or a relevant back-office book of record, and with the depositories (DTCC, CDS). The candidate will be mostly confirming trades, but there may be some client outreach / follow up, handle data, etc.

Must Have Experience/Knowledge:

• Depositories - DTCC, CDS
• Capital Market product knowledge (ideally Fixed Income) and back-office trade lifecyle
• Broadridge or back-office book of record
• Capital Markets Operations (Settlements, Corporate Actions, P&I, Entitlements, etc.)
