We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the visual and interactive elements of our products, ensuring they are user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with our brand identity. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product stakeholders and developers, to translate requirements into intuitive and engaging user interfaces.


Responsibilities:


  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design, and apply them to enhance our design processes and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and developers to understand technical requirements and constraints, and provide design recommendations that balance user needs with technical feasibility.
  • Lead the UI/UX design process, from conceptualization to final implementation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs that meet user needs and business objectives.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate the intended functionality and aesthetics of the product.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and user testing results, continuously refining and improving the UI/UX.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform the design process and improve user experiences.
  • Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across products.


Requirements:


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and visually appealing designs.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and familiarity with communicating and translating design to and from front-end development requirements in HTML, CSS, etc.
  • Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar software.
  • 5+ years of work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and projects.
  • Expertise in user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Experience with user research techniques, usability testing, and user feedback analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility requirements for components of user interfaces and dashboards
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a passion for delivering pixel-perfect designs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple parallel projects and priorities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and articulate design decisions effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The compensation range for this role is between $120,000 & $140,000 CAD annually, plus stock options.
