Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The Opportunity

KingswaySoft creates and provides data integration software that is used by many enterprise clients worldwide including many Fortune 500 clients. We are looking for a strong and experienced Software QA Engineer to join our high-performing development team.

We are local to you, but we have a global reach to clients in over 100 countries. This crucial hands-on role is responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions by working with some of the most innovative integration software in the industry. With this role, you will be able to leverage your exceptional QA skills to test and break the software to ensure the quality of our software releases. Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering field.
• 5+ years of software QA experience.

Required Skills

• Solutions-oriented thinking, looking for the smart solutions to issues rather than first answer that works
• Strong knowledge of relational database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
• Understanding of Software QA methodologies and approaches
• Ingrained sense of accountability and ownership
• A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing or development role
• Ability to spot problems easily and reproduce them
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of XML and JSON data
• Experience with web service and API testing, including interactions with SOAP and/or REST service endpoints

What do you actually do in this role?

• Develop sample solutions that demonstrate our software features
• Ensure software issues are tracked, and resolved in a timely fashion
• Leverage your technical experience, skills, training, and information tools to provide a high level of customer satisfaction
• Create and develop test plans
• Provide guidance to developers to ensure the best possible user experience, and a streamlined design flow when using our software
• Contribute to the development of technical resources such as technical documentation, knowledge base articles, blog post writing, etc.
• Develop and execute test cases for KingswaySoft products that interact with various database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and enterprise applications such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Oracle CRM, SharePoint, QuickBooks, HubSpot, and Marketo, etc.
• Create and develop test strategies
• Contribute to software designs by solving some intricate integration challenges

What would make you successful here?

To take on the role of Software QA Engineer at KingswaySoft, you must have:

• Experience in any of the following applications would be considered an asset: Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM/ERP, Salesforce.com, or other enterprise-level business applications.
• Experience with working with web service based applications, including either SOAP or REST related experience
• Great documentation skills
• Teamwork skills
• Knowledge of any database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.

Note this is not a typical functional QA role that you would see in the market, but rather a technical one that involves heavy database, API testings among design responsibilities.
