Senior Project Engineer (Quality Assurance)

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer (Quality Assurance) for an exciting opportunity with us at Give and Go!

Job Overview:

This role will be responsible for the execution of Quality Assurance projects aimed at improving quality and food safety across all Give & Go plants and include capital expense and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading site level cross- functional team for successful project execution.
• Leading technical design on infrastructure related projects for improvements in food safety and quality including hygienic building design and GMPs
• Accountable for managing mid to large scale capital investment projects, providing leadership and managing contractors and consultants onsite during execution at highest level of efficiency, quality and employee safety.
• Effective execution will be assessed according to delivery of project goals on-time and within budget, while ensuring compliance to company standards with specific focus on food safety, process safety, occupational safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency
• Fulfil requirements for implementation phase (e.g. Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT)), start-up (e.g. Commissioning, Qualification and Verification (CQV) planning, Vertical Start-up (VSU) assessments) and successfully handover to the plant
• Hold stakeholders and vendors accountable for deliverables
• Implements Innovation Initiative Management (IIM) tools for delivering Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) success criteria
• Fulfil requirements for design phase (e.g. equipment specification & selection, risk analysis, hygienic building design), design lock (stakeholder management and alignment)

Recipe for Success:

• Must be able to handle fast paced environment with competing priorities and demands
• University Degree in Engineering or equivalent further education qualification in relevant discipline.
• Must have strong computer (MS Office) and project management skills
• P.Eng, PMP
• 4 years experience in Engineering
• Experience with IIM process
• Ability to apply general scientific and engineering principles to technical problems and clearly communicate solutions
• Experience in food safety and quality related projects
• Experience procuring and installing industrial equipment
• Strong analytical skills including troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills to effectively lead teams to quickly identify issues, causes and sustainable corrective actions
